I was thinking before i watched the movie, what! a fly? huh! how one can choose a fly as a main character of a movie. Idea is bizaare as well as new.

I was about to watch movie on first day and was excited and thinking woh, how an fly[eega] will be shown by Rajamouli as to convince audience to take revenge on a man. But director knows movie magic well. 

The story is simple bed time tale stories told by a father to his child to make her sleep.

A Bad business man who has a lust for a girl, but hero and the girl are in love, and the villain kills the hero, and hero is reborn as a fly to take revenge. So its a silly fairy tale but greatness lies in presenting that on screen .

Its really challenging and needs lot of script work, patience and creativity to make this sensible movie, wonder of small things, the idea worked well, like eega the fly, its mini goggles, basket, needle, cassette tread mill, bulb filament etc.

This movie succeeds in all departments Script work, screenplay, direction, editing, cinematography, CG VFX, music, background score, performances, art work.

Eega is start for new kind of story telling, inspires many to experiment with bizarre subjects.

Main characters sudeep[villain] the business man, naani[hero], Bindu[samanta actress] the micro artist, and CG Eega character are well designed and written.

Sudeep excels in his performance, since he actually acted imagining an un existing fly, Perfectly suited the role as chose by rajamouli and did 100% justice. Others are also perfect according to their roles.

Biggest appreciations are for director for his talent in making this film success, and Makuta VFX Hyderabad employees whose quality work can be highly appreciated. Senthil cinematographer also need special mention, since this movie would be a challenge to him to keep movie frame in sync between small eega and big villain,  Music and score by keeravani is commendable.

Eega's first flight, getting adopted for surroundings, playing inside water bubbles, eega expressions while sudeep touches bindu, eega irritating sudeep and sudeep reactions for that, bindu micro art, eega's exercises, interval accident scene at last eega sacrificing itself scenes are best.

Finally this is a movie with un ordinary story presented in an extraordinary way.

 FANTASY CONCEPT FAILED IN EXECUTION

Initial Impressions

 

Karunakaran is known for feel good movies for youth & family. He made his mark with films tholi prema, vasu, happy, ullasamga uthsahamga, darling. So endukante premanta was expected with nice feel good youth and love elements, starring cute pair amazing ram and gorgeous tamanna. 

But this time director chose fantasy movie with refreshing new concept, but narration was not up to the mark.

Story

         Movie starts in 1980's at Visakhapatnam Andhra university. A 1980's smart guy waiting at bus stand to hear from his beloved, waits almost till end of college days, but 1980's homely girl is never be able to look at him although she loved due to her family issues. 

         On the last day of college hero somehow tries to meet her but dies saving her from unfortunate accident, after that she also dies on his grave.

         Story jumps to 2012, Sravanthi(tamanna) the daughter of biggest Indian ambassador (suman) at Paris. Hero ram from Hyderabad a spoil t brat sent to Paris to a wine yard cleverly by his father shiyazi, there he have to work and earn money, until then his passport is taken. One day tamanna finds his father's assistant (rishi) involved in criminal activity and Rishi finds it and tries to kill her, she escapes from him, also clever ram escapes from wine yard and meets tamanna at exotic location on a bridge somewhere in Paris, later she helps ram to get passport from her father and ram too arrives Hyderabad.

So interval part has a twist, ram finds tamanna on hospital bed who is there from a week, so who is that girl he is speaking till now and what he did to save that girl forms the remaining story.

           So director chose out of box script but narration lacks proper emotion and feel
